Yan'an Videos

Covering an area of about 20 hectares, Yan'an Folk Culture Film City has characteristic cave dwellings, imitation ancient city walls, an underground palace, a two-storey exhibition hall, a man-made lake and a grand performance hall which can accommodate 2000 people. It also offers around 50 kinds of local snacks to the visitors for free. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the Ansai Waist Drum and local Yangko performances, paper-cut artwork and peasant paintings, animal shows and 3-D movies.

Yan'an Folk Culture Film City was opened to the public on Sept. 29, 2012. During the opening ceremony, several stuntmen gave a stunning performance for the audience.

The 400 meters (1312 feet) wide Yellow River suddenly narrows into 50 meters (164 feet) and falls 30 meters (98 feet) high to the riverbed when it reaches the Qinjin Valley that divides the Loess Plateau into two parts. Therefore, a magnificent waterfall is formed. Because the riverbed looks like a kettle, the waterfall gains its name Hukou.
