The Hukou Waterfall lies on the border of Shaanxi and Shanxi provinces, about 400 kilometers from Xian. It is the second largest waterfall in China, only inferior to the Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou Province. When the Yellow River dashes down towards the Jinshan Grand Canyon, bound by mountains on both sides, the 500-meter-wide current abruptly narrowed down to 30 meters. Then the torrent of water swept down the narrow mouth, forming a magnificent waterfall with a height of 50 meters and a width of 30 meters. It seems that water is pouring down from a giant teapot.
