Xuanyuan Temple, also called the Temple of Yellow Emperor, is part of the Huangdi Mausoleum. The temple was first built in the Han Dynasty (206BC - 220). Covering an area of 9.3 hectares, the main buildings on the south-north axis are Temple Gate, Whole-heartedness Pavilion, Steles Pavilion and Hall to the Founder of the Human Civilization. There are 14 ancient cypresses here and those planted by the Yellow Emperor and the Hanging Armour Cypress are the most famous.
