The Water Cube (National Aquatics Center) has become a remarkable landmark as well as a popular tourist attraction in Beijing since the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. It was the main swimming facility during the Beijing Olympic Games.
The construction started at the end of 2003 and was finished in January, 2008. In all, it cost about 1.02 billion Yuan.
