It’s a memorial temple built to commemorate Zhuge Liang, a great strategist as well as a capable statesman of the Shu State during the Three Kingdoms Period (220 - 280). Actually, this scenic area also includes the Mausoleum of Liu Bei, who was the founder of the Shu State.
