The performers are performing Lv Bu and Diao Chan (a piece from Sichuan Opera) at the Sichuan Opera Theater in Chengdu. Lv Bu and Diaochan are two characters in the novel, Romance of Three Kingdoms.

Sichuan Opera is very popular in Chengdu, Chongqing, the eastern and middle parts of Sichuan Province, as well as some parts of Guizhou and Yunnan Provinces. The opera is comprised of five kinds of artistic styles, Kun Opera, Gaoqiang, Huqin Voice, Tanxi and Dengdiao (Lantern Theater). The most highlighted in Sichuan Opera is Face Change.
