Situated on the east bank of the Grand Canal in Yangzhou, the Puhading Cemetery includes a mosque, Puhading’s Tomb Area and a classic garden. The cemetery was built during the Southern Song Dynasty. Puhading is said to be the sixteenth generation descendant of Muhammad, the founder of Islam. He came to preach Islam in Yangzhou during the Southern Song Dynasty. He died in 1275.
