Located on West Shanshui Road, the Wuxi Purple Sand Teapot Museum is the first private museum in Jiangsu Province. It was built by Li Shuaiyuan, an enthusiast of the purple sand teapot.

At the entrance to the museum stands a 2.88 meters (9.45 feet) high purple sand teapot. The museum has a collection of more than 1000 purple sand teapots made during the Ming and Qing Dynasties and in the period of the Republic of China.
