The Temple of Confucius is the place where people paid tribute to Confucius during the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It houses 198 stone tablets inscribed with the names of 51624 Jinshi (advanced scholars) of the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties - valuable material for the study of the ancient Chinese imperial examination system.
It opened to the public in 1928.
