Terraced fields came into being as early as Qin and Han Dynasties, more than 2000 years ago. Originally built in the Yuan Dynasty (1271 – 1368), Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces already have a history of about 650 years. Today, it has become a well-known tourist destination in Guangxi Province.
