The Southern Heavenly Gate is the only access to visit the Immortals Gathering Platform, the Chaoyuan Cave, the Chang Kong Plank Road, the Old Stone House and the Quanzhen Cliff.

Chang Kong Plank Road is the most dangerous spot on Mt. Huashan. It was laid by He Zhizhen who was a renowned Taoist sage during the Yuan Dynasty. The wooden trails built along the vertical cliff are about 50 centimeters wide. Visitors have to cling to the cliff when they walk on the plank road. What if they fall off the plank road? Don’t worry. All visitors who challenge the plank road are required to rent the protection harness.

It’s said that only one or two percent of the visitors who come to Mt.Huashan dare to challenge the plank road every year. Are you the one who dares to challenge the plank road?
