A man puts some corn kernels and sugar into his elliptical iron pot and keeps turning it over the fire. He checks the barometer, equiped on the pot, now and then to ensure proper pressure being kept. Once done, he removes the pot, connects it to a large sealing bag and then uses a steel tube to open the pot. Simultaneously, you hear the loud ‘Bang’. What do you think is the man doing? Don’t panic! He is just making popcorn. In some rural areas, there are still vendors making popcorn this way to earn money. One cannot see this in big cities because people just buy popcorn from the supermarket or make their own at home.
