West Street (Xi Jie)

West Street in Yangshuo has a nickname ‘Foreigner’s Street’ as a large number of foreigners have traveled to, or settled here. Along the street English has become the language for daily use. Many locals speak fluent English and nearly every store has bilingual signs. Hence, it is also called a ‘global village’.

On West Street, one can find folk craftwork shops, painting and calligraphy stores, cafes, restaurants and even internet bars. Visiting West Street, one should not miss ‘Beer Fish’, a very famous local dish with a good taste.
