Located in the Jingsheng Village, Lingshi County, it was built by the descendents of Wang Family during Ming (1368 - 1644 AD) and Qing (1644 - 1911 AD) Dynasties. Their ancestors originally lived in Jiaonan City in Shandong Province. Whereafter, they moved to Taiyuan in Shanxi Province. At the beginning of Southern Song Dynasty, a descendant called Wang Shi moved his family from Taiyuan to Gouyutan Village in Lingshi County. Another descendent Wang Chengzhai moved his family to Jingsheng Village in 1313.

Famed for its wood, brick and stone carvings, it is not only a residence but also an architectural museum.
