Lying between the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang and Haba Snow Mountain in Shangri-La, the Tiger Leaping Gorge is famous for its roaring rapids and steep cliffs. The plank road along the cliffside is also impressive. The middle section of the gorge is the most challenging, requiring more physical strength, but providing more magnificent views. If you are fit enough, do not miss the gorge.
