The Spring Festival Travel Rush is also called Chunyun in Chinese. During this particular period, the China’s transport system will experience an extended travel rush compared with normal time. Millions of farmer workers and students will head back to their respective hometowns to spend the festival with their families.

Chunyun usually begins 15 days before the Chinese Lunar New Year and 25 days after that. By the way, the 2012 Spring Festival Travel Rush lasts from January 8 to February 16.

In this video, you will see thousands of passengers swarming into the Tianhe Bus Station to buy bus tickets before the 2012 Chinese Lunar New Year. It proves to be very difficult to get the tickets.
