Beijing West Railway Station, built in 1996, once was the largest railway station in Asia. It has two squares connected by a five hundred meter long underground passage. The main entrances, ticket offices and bus stops are located on the northern square. Since January 16, 2010, passengers can enter the railway station from the southern square.
