Lantern Festival falls on lunar calendar January 15th. There is a full moon on this day, signifying a reunion. Chinese people celebrate the festival by admiring lighted lanterns, guessing riddles and eating Yuanxiao (glutinous rice balls). Xian holds the Lantern Festival celebration on its City Wall annually.
