"Impression Pingyao" is a large-scale drama directed by Wang Chaoge, a famous director in China. The drama tells the story about the owner of an exchange shop in Pingyao. His manager was killed in the Czar of Russia, with only a son left. Then the owner risked his own life and went to Russia with 232 bodyguards to pick up the son. Sadly, they all died on the way back, except the son, who returned to Pingyao seven years later. The performance stresses the moral belief and lineage maintenance spirit of Pingyao people.
