Dazu Rock Carvings refer to the cliffside rock carving in Dazu District, Chongqing City. This comprises 75 protected sites and more than 100000 statues, which were built at the end of the Tang Dynasty and the beginning of the Song Dynasties. The most representative are the rock carvings found on Beishan Mountain and Baoding Mountain.
