Yonghe Lamasery, or called Yonghe Temple, Lama Temple..., is a great Lama temple in Beijing. It was built in 1694 AD during Qing Dynasty, as the mansion of the Prince Yong, the Emperor Yongzhen later. After he died and his son, Emperor Qianlong, was on the throne, the palace was transformed into a top Lama temple. It is always full of pilgrims and visitors today. The old architecture is as resplendent as those in Forbidden City, with golden glazed tiles on the roofs.
