Located at Xizhuang town, Jianshui County of Yunnan Province, the Tuanshan Village is famed for its Han style residential complexes built 600 years ago.
During the reign of Emperor Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Fu, a businessman from Poyang County of the Jiangxi Province, expanded his business in Jianshui County. Later, he built his own Han style private house somewhere in the county and settled down.
Inspired by Zhang Fu, the locals went out to do business. As a result, they heaped up great wealth and built their own houses like that of Zhang Fu. Then, a small village called Tuanshan came into being.
Today, there are 21 well-preserved Han style residential complexes at the Tuanshan Village.
