Located on the Ming Mountain on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, Fengdu County is known as the Ghost City and is as a popular tourist attraction on the Yangtze River. Most Chinese people believe that the dead (or ghosts) enter the netherworld. There people who did good deeds will be reincarnated, while evil people will be tortured in many ways and will have no chance to be reincarnated. In the Ghost City, the tourists can see many sculptures of tortured ghosts and buildings of the netherworld, which give a vivid description of the underworld in Chinese mythology.
