Decolliamo su un aereo della China Southern Airlines alle 10. 30 e dopo un volo di circa due ore atterriamo all'aeroporto di Zhengzhou, capoluogo dell’ Henan, una delle province più piccole della Cina, grande poco più di mezza Italia ma popolata da circa 97 milioni di abitanti! La città, industriale moderna, non offre molto dal punto di vista turistico ma è sicuramente il punto di partenza migliore per visitare luoghi importanti come le famose grotte scolpite di Longmen e il monastero di Shaolin.
