Maxirap (麦西来甫) is the oldest ethnic minority culture in Xinjiang. It is the traditional art and inseparable spirit of Uygur people. They show their joy, sadness, hope and vicissitudes of life through the dance. Maxirap is very lively and active. There are five components in this dance: the chief of all young people in the local village, pleasant person receiving gratuity, musicians, dancers and humourists.
