Gegentala Grassland is a vast area in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. From 25 to 31 July is the best time to visit the grassland as the Nadam Fair, a grand folk festival, is held at that time each year. Local minority people engage in wrestling matches, horse and camel racing and archery contests.
