Located to the west of the Bell Tower in Beijing, Tanggong Hutong starts from Zhonglouwan Hutong in the east and ends at Old Drum Tower West Street. It is just 159 meters (174 yards) long and 3 meters (3.3 yards) wide. Tanggong Hutong was initially named Tangguo Hutong in the Qing Dynasty, but in 1947, it was renamed.
