The City God Temple in Sanyuan County, Xianyang, was originally built in 1375 during the Ming Dynasty. It is one of the well-preserved architectural complexes of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Shaanxi Province. It occupies an area of 1,024 square meters, 52 meters wide from east to west, 212 meters long from north to south. The whole architectural complex has the style of imperial palaces. The main buildings are on the north of the central axis, and other affiliated buildings, bell tower and drum tower stand on both sides of the middle axis, symmetrically laid out. The courtyards are connected by four wooden and stone archways.
