Yangtze River Cruise offers a variety of activities such as folk dance shows, Chinese culture introduction, featured films, Tai Chi Chuan and Tea Ceremony. Ta Ge is a classic Chinese traditional folk dance, which depicts a picture of young beautiful girls going out for an outing in early spring. It was blooming during the Tang Dynasty.
The dance is performed with the Song of Bamboo Twigs written by Liu Yuxi, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty. He depicts a young girl’s complicated feelings when she hears her beloved’s singing a song. She loves him but he hasn’t confessed his love to her. Can you understand her feelings?
