Qinghai Lake International Road Cycling Race is held in July or August every year in Qinghai Province since 2002. It is one of the top international road cycling races in the world. The total distance of the tour is 1,506 kilometers, including race distance 1,430 kilometers, parade riding 5.9 kilometers and transfer 70 kilometers. The race lasts 12 days from July 15 to July 26, 2009. A total of 147 riders from 21 teams take part in this road cycling race with an average altitude of 3,000 kilometers.
