Covering an area of around 7413 acres (30 square kilometers), Que Er Village is the heart of Bamei Town. It has developed as the tourist reception center in the town.

Huiyuan monastery was built in 1729 as a sanctuary for the 7th Dalai Lama Kalzang Gyatso. He lived here for seven years. In 1838, the 11th Dalai Lama Khedrup Gyatso was born in a village near to the monastery. Thanks to them, this monastery becomes a very important religious site.
